NKF Financial Toolkit This simple worksheet will help you estimate the cost of donation and help you figure out what expenses will need to be considered/reimbursed.
National Living Donor Assistance Center (NLDAC). When it comes to getting reimbursed for non-medical expenses related to donation, this is the best place to get started. This video briefly describes this program which is available to some but not all donors.
National Kidney Registry provides the gold standard in protections for living donors. If your transplant center is affiliated with the NKR, Donor Shield will be available to you.
Alliance for Paired Donation provide significant reimbursements for lost wages and other expenses. You can ask your transplant center if they are affiliated with the Alliance to determine if benefits are available to you.
National Foundation for Transplants offers fundraising assistance for living donors.
American Living Donor Fund is a non-profit dedicated to helping donors with financial hardships related to donation.
